SETS is a series of sculptures and scenography that utilize film making gear combined with impractical shapes that evoke furniture pieces, landscapes and the subconscious. They are sometimes accompanied by performances.
By deliberately defying ergonomics and logic, my SETS serve as a metaphor for both the impermanent nature of film sets, their illusion of reality and the notion of utility. The results are tridimensional Dadaist artifacts. Through discernment interpretations become Surreal.
SETS are constructed by repurposing materials found on film sets. On each SET they appear out of context replacing its intended practicality with the absurd. The absurd is based on film, architecture, art, design and personal narrative as constructs for this Auto-Fiction.
